How Long Does The Application Process Take?
Once we receive your Application it may take up to 72 hours for approval.  You may email us with any questions or concerns during the approval process.

Can Correspondence members later become initiated in a physical Temple?
Yes, all our members have the opportunity to experience the Ceremony of Initiation in person.  Members should contact their mentor to arrange the details for your physical initiation.

Do I have to acquire the Order Regalia?
Yes if you are a Local Temple Member as we do not allow street clothes during ceremonies or rituals that go on inside the Temple.  It's not mandatory for our Correspondence members to have Order regalia, however we encourage all members to either make or purchase a set.

When do I have to pay Order dues again?
Exactly one year later from your Initiation date.

What is expected of me?
The Order expects you to conduct yourself within the scope of the Neophyte Oath.   All classes and events are optional for members to attend.

Do I have to pre-pay my membership fees?
Yes, as we only consider an application completed for submission for approval when accompanied by payment.  When you submit your application, you will be redirected to the payment gateway. Applications without payment will not be approved.   If you have difficulty checking out please contact us.

Is the Golden Dawn a religion?
No it is not.   It is a syncretic ancient body of knowledge and the ideas studied by Golden Dawn initiates are a unique combination of Jewish Kabbalah, ancient Egyptian and Greek mysteries, several strands of Christianity, and many other Western esoteric traditions. To quote its "history lecture", (from Israel Regardie's book, The Golden Dawn ),

"... the G.D. [Golden Dawn] is an Hermetic Society whose members are taught the principles of Occult Science and the Magic of Hermes."
