The Tradition of Initiation

The Golden Dawn Tradition taught by our Golden Dawn Adepts is designed to lead the Initiate towards Self- Mastery. This is achieved through what is referred to as "Spiritual Alchemy". It is the state where inner opposing forces within the self no longer conflict with each other, however, begin to work in peace and harmony. It is through this Spiritual Alchemy and the effects of Golden Dawn initiation that the Initiate is prepared to learn the Greater Mysteries of the Magic of the Eternal Light.

While Self-Mastery is potentially present in all of humans, it is best unlocked through spiritual initiation properly taught and nurtured within the Initiate as he or she evolves through the grades of the Golden Dawn system of Magic. The Skills to achieve Spiritual Alchemy cannot be imparted through mere book learning. They must be acquired through hands-on program of instruction as the student evolves through the grade system of the Golden Dawn.

The Holy Order of the Golden Dawn grades are:

• 0=0 Neophyte
• 1=10 Zelator - Earth (Malkuth)
• 2=9 Theoricus- Air (Yesod)
• 3=8 Practicus - Water (Hod)
• 4=7 Philosophus- Fire (Netzach)
• Portal of the Vault oft the Adepti

In each Golden Dawn grade, the Initiate will learn to acquire the power and benefit of each grade, as well as developing the skills that will last a lifetime. These are internal powers that cannot be purchased in a book, rather, they come only through a traditional initiatic Mystery School. Our Golden Dawn initiatic Mystery school is dedicated to the "Great Work" and towards the higher development of your spiritual growth through the Magical Way of Life. The Teachings of our Golden Dawn Order are as old as time itself. Through the Western Mystery Tradition and the Classical Golden Dawn system of Magic, Our Golden Dawn Temples provide classes, Group Rituals, Weekend Retreats, and Magical Training to all of our Initiates in Toronto, Tokyo, Paris and Athens. We also provide Golden Dawn correspondence courses for Initiates who live more than a 1 hours drive from any of our Holy Order of the Golden Dawn Temples throughout the world.
